The experienced lobbyist will oversee corporate affairs at Mark Glover's agency.

Former iNHouse Communications and Fleishman Hillard lobbyist Michelle di Leo has resurfaced at Newington Communications as boss of the corporate affairs division.

Di Leo moved to iNHouse last year from her post as head of public affairs at FleishmanHillard Fishburn. But in early 2018 she quit the agency and moved to set up a new shop based in London’s Fitzrovia district.

“I'm partnering with senior independent colleagues, bringing together a bespoke mix of skills and experience, combined with the ability to build partnerships that make a difference. We'll remain focused on that model,” she said in March 2018.

However it has now emerged that di Leo - who is also a former director at the now-defunct New Labour lobbying agency LLM Communications - has joined Newington Communications as managing director, corporate affairs.

Confirming the hire Newington chief executive Mark Glover said: “I am delighted that Michelle is joining Newington to lead our corporate affairs division.  She brings with her more than 20 years’ experience of creative and effective communications campaigns across a wide variety of issues and organisations.

He added: “This is an exciting time for Newington as we continue to grow, deliver for clients and provide a fulfilling environment for talented people.”
