FTI brings in ex-Labour MP Gemma Doyle and others
The former shadow defence minister is moving on from Interel.
FTI Consulting has plugged the gaps in its public affairs team with a clutch of new hires, including former Labour MP Gemma Doyle.
Doyle joins FTI next month as a senior director having spent the last two years at Interel Consulting. She lost her seat of West Dunbartonshire in the 2015 general election.
FTI recently lost senior director Liam O'Keefe to MSLGroup, while director Alex Holroyd left at the end of last year to successfully campaign for Emmanuel Macron's En Marche party. Holroyd is now a member of the French Parliamant.
Alongside Doyle, FTI has also hired Barclaycard head of government relations Tom Burton as a senior director and civil servant Mike Archer as a director. Archer is currently a senior adviser at the Department for Exiting the European Union.
FTI Consulting head of public affairs Alex Deane said: "We have sought to bolster our expertise in key sectors for the business such as financial services and defence, which we wish to grow and expand in the coming years."
