Now in their seventh year, the Public Affairs News Awards seek to recognise excellence across this growing and increasingly diverse sector, and reflect the quality of work undertaken by individuals at all levels.
The 2011 awards will be held at a stunning new venue - 8 Northumberland, near Trafalgar Square - and feature five new categories: Freelancer of the Year, Innovative Campaign of the Year, Specialist Consultancy of the Year, Party Conference Innovation 2011 and Political Tweeter of the Year. Usual favourites that, of course, remain include Consultant of the Year, Consultancy of the Year and the awards to recognise private- and voluntary-sector campaigns.
Our 24-strong judging panel, chaired by Public Affairs News editor Ian Hall, has again been refreshed with new faces. I thank them all for their involvement.
As has proved popular for the past two years, shortlisted entries in selected categories will be invited to support their nomination by means of a short presentation in September in front of selected judges at Dods' offices.
I hope you will support this year’s awards programme, and look forward to welcoming to the awards ceremony on 16 November.
