Twitter names first global public policy boss
WASHINGTON DC: Twitter has appointed a telecoms policy veteran as its first head of global public policy.

The short-messaging service has brought in Colin Crowell to fill the position – announcing the appointment, quite appropriately, via a tweet. Crowell has most recently run his own consultancy, but is a former senior adviser to the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission.
Twitter recruited Rachel Bremer as its first European comms manager three months ago, based in the UK. She told Public Affairs News that the firm had no ‘immediate plans’ for public affairs recruits this side of the Atlantic.
