The first ‘Public Affairs News Tweet-up’, kindly sponsored by Insight Public Affairs, saw about 25 public affairs pros converging on the Bell & Compass from 5.30pm.
Attendees came from both leading public affairs consultancies and in-house roles.
The aim of the event – whose Twitter hashtag was #pantweetup - was to gather with online friends and network ahead of the party conference season.
Editor Ian Hall said: "Thanks to everyone who came and to the event's sponsor, Insight Public Affairs. We hope the tweet-ups will become regular events. In fact, we're thinking of doing the next one in January 2011."
