British banks' EU lobbyist to leave to join NEST

LONDON/BRUSSELS: The British Bankers’ Association (BBA)’s director for EU government affairs, Anne Fairweather, is leaving after just over a year to join the National Employment Savings Trust (NEST).

Fairweather – who joined the BBA last summer from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) (PAN, Sep 2010) – is due to start in NEST’s corporate affairs team in mid-October.
The BBA has been recruiting for the new role of head of EU affairs, as well as an EU policy adviser.
Before joining REC in 2005, Fairweather worked for the CBI in Brussels.
