
O’Hara starts this week on a 10-month contract as an interim replacement for Cathy Mussert, who is due to return to the airports-operator next summer.
O’Hara – who reports to director of policy and political relations, Nigel Milton – was most recently head of corporate and industry relations at the Office of the Rail Regulator (ORR), which he left earlier this year. He joined the ORR from the Pensions Regulator (PAN, Oct 09).
At BAA priorities include working on the ‘Connecting for Growth’-badged lobbying and PR drive that seeks to promote the economic importance of aviation, as well as taxation, immigration queues and the environment.
