Financial Times public policy editor takes think-tank roles

The Financial Times’ public policy editor is to join the Institute for Government (IfG) as a senior fellow.

Nick Timmins will, from this autumn, contribute to work on policy-making and public service reform, including a project on health policymaking in partnership with the King’s Fund that will report in 2012.
The IfG’s director, Labour peer Andrew Adonis, said: “As an analyst of the NHS and health policy Nick is unrivalled, and his wide-ranging experience across the public sector and the public services will be invaluable to the Institute for Government in his new role.”
Timmins, who will remain with the FT part-time as a contributing editor, simultaneously takes the title senior fellow at the Kings Fund.
