ROLE OVERVIEW
Our London Healthcare Public Affairs team sits within our Public Affairs and Corporate Comms Practice. The team combines some of the most talented consultants in the industry, with experience from the NHS, Parliament, think-tanks, media, healthcare charities, politics and beyond. This position will involve working with the Directors of the department to drive new business, whilst working with the team on client accounts and providing senior counsel.
PRIORITIES FOR THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
- Providing senior counsel to a range of existing clients
- Maximise the potential of PA London by working with the management team to develop the FH healthcare PA offering & wider PA team offering
- Contribute to new business development, providing strategic and creative input into pitch opportunities and PR programmes
- Working with the Directors to maintain a productive and rewarding environment for staff in which existing employees can be coached and developed to fully realise their potential in terms of both their contribution to the business and their own career development
- Draw on the experience of developing a successful business in the PA market; be up to speed with current trends and potential areas of new business in the relevant area of specialism
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- A senior PA professional with at least 8 years agency/in-house/political experience with a proven track record in client relationship management with extensive experience of the Healthcare services sector and a strong grounding in the UK political environment
- An ability to drive new business alongside other senior managers to take the FH London Public Affairs team to the next level of growth (following a very successful year), by either developing new healthcare clients for FH or bringing existing clients across
- New business – ability to support senior managers with compilation of written proposals, research, budgeting, pitching, and brainstorming.
- Established network of political and business contacts
- Experience of international development in the healthcare field welcomed
- Experience in supporting the development of market access programmes
- Detailed understanding about how companies and campaigning groups can affect change in government policy through parliamentary Whitehall and other tactics
- Broad knowledge of the NHS, Parliament, Department of Health and other key agencies
