PHARMA LOBBY’S NEW COMMS BOSS:The European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) has named Titta Rosvall-Puplett as director for communications and partnerships. Previously director of EFPIA’s research directors’ group, she replaces Colin Mackay, who is now at APCO Worldwide in Brussels (PAN online, 14 July).

AIRBUS HIRES AGENCY FOR BRUSSELS COMMS: Airbus has brought on board a recently formed public affairs and comms agency for media support in Brussels. Berlin-headquartered Eo Ipso Communications – launched by Oliver Aust, the former head of comms and public affairs at low-cost airline easyJet (PAN, Mar) – is reporting to Airbus’s global comms team. Eo Ipso has just opened an office at 37 Square de Meeûs in Brussels.

McLELLAN ELECTED AS NEXT CITPA PRESIDENT:Bob McLellan has become a board member of CITPA (the International Confederation of Paper and Board Converters in Europe) and has been elected president designate, with effect from July 2012 for two years. McLellan, who succeeds Bengt Nordin, completes his term of office as president of the European Corrugated Packaging Federation (FEFCO) next June. CITPA’s three priorities are food waste, ‘carbon sequestration’ and ‘the road-map on resource efficiency 2020’.
 
NEW BRUSSELS BASE FOR MHP COMMS:London-headquartered MHP Communications has established its permanent Brussels base at Sweden House, 3 Rue Luxembourg. The agency launched in the city earlier this year, initially located at 37 Square de Meeûs. MHP’s Brussels boss is Alisdair Gray.

AVISA LINKS UP WITH COSTILLAS: Ana Costillas, who recently set up her own law and advocacy consultancy, Cos&Co (PAN, Sep), last month joined Avisa Partners as a senior adviser. She will continue to run Cos&Co. Costillas was previously at Weber Shandwick.

ASPECT AND CLEVER CONSULT TEAM UP: The agencies Aspect Consulting and Clever Consult have formed a partnership to co-advise organisations in the ‘bio-based economy’.
