De Meulder takes Grayling pan-EU remit

BRUSSELS: Global comms and public affairs agency Grayling has appointed Katarina De Meulder as MD of a new Brussels-based division badged Grayling Public Policy Communications.

The Belgian national, who has a pan-European remit, has previously held similar positions at Ketchum Pleon, Weber Shandwick (WS) and Hill & Knowlton (H&K). In her new role she reports to Grayling Belgium’s long-serving chief executive, Russell Patten.
Michael Murphy, group chief executive of the Huntsworth-owned agency, said: “Katarina has extensive experience of winning and managing major EU information campaigns across the 27 member states. We strongly believe that this will be a great source of business and will enhance our pan-European credentials and public-sector client credibility.”
De Meulder was at Ketchum Pleon until September last year, spending about 18 months with the agency. She was previously at WS for just under two years, having previously spent six years at H&K.
