
The two institutions currently operate separate lobbyist registers but their new ‘one-stop-shop’ listing will debut on 23 June.
Both institutions have decided that the ‘cash-for-laws’ scandal – a Sunday Times ‘sting’ in which four MEPs were accused of being prepared to accept payment in return for tabling amendments – will not derail their plans.
As the June edition of Public Affairs News went to press, details were being ironed out for launch day, with a press conference slated to take place at the Commission’s Berlaymont HQ.
