Weber Shandwick hits a sweet spot with world’s largest snacks company
Mondelez International has selected Weber Shanwick to do UK public affairs.
Weber Shandwick has triumphed in a competitive pitch to handle UK public affairs for Mondelez International, the world’s largest snacks company.
Sources at Weber Shandwick confirmed the win to PAN, saying it was a new UK pubic affairs brief. David Mills, Mondelez International's head of external communications for the UK & Ireland, said Weber Shandwick would “provide general public affairs support in the UK” for the American multinational.
The capture of the Mondelez account is a boost for corporate and public affairs MD Anthony Marlowe who has been busy rebuilding Weber Shandwick’s UK public affairs operation after a number of senior departures. PAN recently revealed that Marlowe had appointed Lexington Communications director Ed Taylor and Labour party research officer Meredith Williams.
The Mondelez win was first reported by Holmes Report. It does not include public affairs for any of Mondelez’s individual brands, which include Cadbury, Oreo, Belvita, MIlka, Philadelphia, Toblerone and Ritz.
