Cicero's Nikki da Costa named the most inspirational woman in public affairs.
The list has been announced on International Women’s Day.
Cicero Group senior counsel Nikki da Costa has been named the most inspirational woman in public affairs.
The former Number 10 director of legislative affairs heads up a shortlist curated by a panel of judges, organised by Women in Public Affairs and software tool PolicyMogul.
A spokesperson said: “The list showcases women who are pushing boundaries and paving the way for the next generation of women in public affairs. They may be working on game-changing campaigns or have shown themselves to be instrumental in affecting change or inspiring others.”
Women in Public Affairs and PolicyMogul received over 300 nominations for almost 200 women.
PAN revealed in January 2019 that da Costa was set to join Iain Anderson’s fast-growing public affairs consultancy. She exited the industry in 2017 to enter Number 10 in the newly created director of legislative affairs role, where she established a new function and helped to secure the passage of legislation, including the EU (Withdrawal) Act 2018.
The 30-strong shortlist can be seen here. Da Costa was the speaker at a Women in PA event earlier this week, hosted by Cicero Group.
